Hydraulic actuator is a primary component of the hydraulic valve systems. In this paper, the actuation speed of hydraulic actuator was studied with different port configurations. Numerical analysis was performed using the commercial CFD code, ANSYS with k-ε turbulent model. The results of pressure and velocity distributions of working fluid in the hydraulic actuator were graphically depicted.
