abstract

The success of the G. T. S. John Sergeant has been documented fully by J. J. McMullen (1) and (2), in his papers covering the official sea trials and the ship’s initial trip to Europe. Since that time, the ship has been in regular service with only one major lay-up while structural modifications were made to the propeller.
