This paper discusses the factors involved in selecting the multiple free-turbine module arrangement for high-capacity, gas-turbine peaking units, and describes the design of the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft 121-Mw peaking unit being installed by Public Service Electric and Gas Company at the Sewaren Station.
