This paper outlines the design of a new solid state, analog computer for control of gas turbines. It emphasizes some of the features built in to give it all-out reliability, particularly for process and marine applications and shows some of the special tests performed in the factory and in the field. It concludes with the experience gathered during initial installation, and during over 20,000 hr of operation on several units for utility and pipeline application.
