This paper discusses the analysis and decision to replace the condensers and feedwater heaters at the JEA Northside station (formerly Jacksonville Electric Authority) in Jacksonville, Florida (see picture #1). The JEA uprated two power plants from 275 MW to 297.5 in 2002. These plants were built in 1964 and 1967 respectively.
