This paper presents the analysis of 3234 accident reports relating to stand-up forklifts that have occurred from the time period of 1977 to 2006 that were reported to a certain company either by the employer or dealer. Included will be a consideration of the accident type and severity. Specific emphasis will be placed upon the incidents involving serious injuries to operators along with recommendations for reducing the risk of injury to the operator.
