Localized Finite Element Method is applied to analyze the hydroelastic response of VLFS with OWC (Oscillating-Water-Column) chamber. To reduce the hydroelastic response and the drift force, the OWC-embedded VLFS is proposed. The OWC chamber effects on the hydroelastic response and drift force are investigated by changing the location and the draft of OWC chamber. The hydroelastic motion of VLFS is analyzed by the mode superposition method. The drift force is obtained by far-field method. As a numerical validation, the hydroelastic response of the proposed model is compared with the model experiment.
