Dynamic mathematical model of high temperature compact offset strip fin heat exchanger (COSFHE) is established, and Volume-Resistance characteristic simulation model is built based on the distributed and lumped parameter technique. This model can meet the requirement to quick dynamic simulation. Under the same operating condition, the steady-state and transient simulation are studied for the same configuration COSFHE with different fin materials. The results show that they have almost the same steady state performances and totally different transient performances. This will provide reference for the design and optimization of COSFHE control system.
