abstract

We outline the basic ingredients of a novel framework for the large scale mechanical simulation of multi-cellular clusters. Standard techniques of nonlinear finite elements are combined with parallel computing and versatile data structures to allow full mechanical resolution in cell-like spheroids which, furthermore, mimic the cell life cycle.
