In this paper the effect of quantitative RBI work carried out by the authors in recent years on ten sets of plants of six large-scale petrochemical enterprises in SINOPEC and PetroChina system using BV’s RB.eye® software and database is introduced, several outstanding problems about application of RBI in Chinese petrochemical plants are discussed and suggestions about further development of RBI works in the future are proposed.
