On the basis of a mathematic model, a digital control system based on digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320LF2407A is designed. The design plans of hardware and software are produced. A control algorithm combined with PID control with detached integral and PID control with variable arguments (three regions) is presented. Also, simulations and experiments are implemented. The results show whether there are or not any kinds of disturbances, the rotor can always be levitated near the balance position stably with the designed controller. The AMB system of digital control has advantages such as high stability, rapid response, small overshoot, low noise, high control precision and so on, which meet the requests of AMB control properties.
