abstract

The history and background of modern wind turbine technology were reviewed. The most widely used wind turbine airfoil shapes were presented. The previous studies on rotor-wind interaction emphasizing on the velocity deficit of the wake region of the wind turbine, the aerodynamics and structural dynamics of wind turbine airfoil were presented and followed with proposed direction on future study.
